TCL. Hosts “Bringing Joy to Children with Disabilities” Event in Honor of His Majesty the King’s 72nd Birthday
July 25, 2024 – Mr. Atthawit Rakjamroon, Acting Managing Director of The Transport Company Limited (BorKorSor), along with company executives, organized the “Bringing Joy to Children with Disabilities” event as a royal merit offering in celebration of His Majesty the King’s 72nd birthday on July 28, 2024.
The event featured a luncheon and donation of essential items to children with disabilities at the Foundation for the Welfare of the Disabled under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, located on Tiwanon Road, Bang Talad Subdistrict, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. The foundation’s director, Mrs. Somjit Ramnanan, and 237 children with disabilities warmly welcomed the organizers.
About the Initiative
The activity was conducted under the “BorKorSor for Youth” project as part of the company’s 2024 CSR and Environmental Responsibility Action Plan, emphasizing:
- Save Life – Improving the quality of life for underprivileged individuals.
- Save Society – Supporting community and social welfare initiatives.
This effort reflects BorKorSor’s dedication to assisting individuals with disabilities—a group in need of societal support. Donations to the foundation help enhance access to basic necessities and opportunities for children with physical and mobility impairments.
About the Foundation
The Foundation for the Welfare of the Disabled under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra is a non-profit organization that has provided over 60 years of support to children aged 4–14 with physical disabilities. Its services include:
